Cisco CCIP Required Exams:
The exams required in order to achieve the CCIP Cisco certification has an option of two groups of exams: EITHER a four exam certification or a three exam certification.
The four exams grouped together are as follows: the Cisco 642-801 BSCI (Building Scalable Cisco Internetworks) or 642-891 composite, the 642-642 QOS and the Cisco 642-611 MPLS and 642-661 BGP
OR
the Cisco 642-801 or 642-891 Composite, Cisco 642-642 QOS and Cisco 642-691 which combines BGP+MPLS.
Cisco CCIP Recertification:
Each CCIP certification only has a maximum lifetime of three years. After three years the student has a choice of either passing BOTH the Cisco 642-801 BSCI (Building Scalable Cisco Internetworks) and the Cisco 642-891 Composite exams OR the Cisco 642-691 exam which is a combo of BGP+MPLS OR just pass the CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert) written exam from or later than the 1 st October 2004.
