Cisco CCNA Required Exams:
The exams required in order to achieve the CCNA Cisco certification has an option of two groups of exams: EITHER a one exam certification or a two exam certification.
The one exam is: the Cisco 640-801 CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associated) exam
OR
The two exams are: the Cisco 640-812 INTRO (Introduction to Cisco Networking Technologies) exams and the Cisco 640-811 ICND (Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices) exam.
Cisco CCNA Recertification:
Each CCNA certification only has a maximum lifetime of three years. After three years the student has a choice of either passing BOTH the Cisco 640-812 INTRO (Introduction to Cisco Networking Technologies) and the Cisco 640-811 ICND (Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices) exams OR the Cisco 640-801 CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associated) exam, OR just pass the CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert) written exam from or later than the 1 st October 2004.
